June 13, 2025 – 4:35 p.m.
Incident Near DK Surplus Grocery, Red Lion, PA
At approximately 4:35 p.m. today, a vehicle operated by a D.E. Gemmill, Inc. employee was involved in an incident near DK Surplus Grocery in Red Lion, Pennsylvania. The incident resulted in the spill of approximately 275 gallons of water-based traffic paint.
No injuries were reported. No D.E. Gemmill employees, vehicle occupants, or pedestrians were injured. The paint was water-based, and the nature of the spill did not require hazmat response.
There were no spills into storm drains or environmentally sensitive areas.
The paint impacted the roadway. Emergency vehicles responded promptly, and initial cleanup has taken place. D.E. Gemmill’s hydro-blasting equipment is currently being used to remove residual paint from the roadway.
The road is expected to reopen by approximately 10:00 p.m. on June 13, 2025.
