Infrared asphalt patching and repair is a recycling process used to repair damaged areas of asphalt bituminous paving. This road repair process combines reheating of existing asphalt, along with the addition of new bituminous materials.

The finished product will be compacted properly and will function to the same standards as cut and replace road repair application.  The infrared process produces a seamless joint which is knitted to the asphalt around the repair area. The process leaves no joints, so nothing needs to be sealed or maintained. In return, the infrared process greatly reduces the possibility of repaired areas settling and creating possible water puddling areas and tripping hazards, as often occurs with saw cut patching.
